Now that I have an idea of what I want to do at least in college and the near future, I realized I already fcuked up my chances big time ... I know I can still do it though. I just need the discipline to get on track and really get on my shit. *sigh*

post Christmas `08...

Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!!

School is finally over, and let's just say I passed every class .. not with flying colors but I'm good for now at least. My Christmas this year was a great one. I couldn't ask for more than to just spend time with my loved ones and the love of my life. This Christmas was filled with apples to apples, karoake, smartypants, social sipping drinks lol and of course lots of eating. I'll edit this later and post up some pics when I upload them.

009To the love of my life,

Happy 4 years anniversary . I couldn't have had a greater time going out to dinner where we had our first date. You know how you said there's never been a day where you've loved me less? Well the feeling is definitely mutual hunn. I know we've had our crazy moments, but no one said it'd get easier as the time went by. What's most imporant is that we stuck by each other's side for better or for worse. Thank you for putting up with my crazy self. I know I could be a lot of baggage sometimes, but I like to think the good outweighs the bad in our relationship hehe. "You plus me equals us. We're great apart, but we're better together..."

It's 6:21am, and I'm thinking I should probably go to sleep. I'll edit this puppy later. Until then, take care.

el fin de semana...

Two finals done, two more to go. It's a rather nervewracking feeling I must say to slowy see my final grades come in and my GPA fluctuate from bad to worse, back to bad, maybe back to worse. When did I become so content with "just passing?" Is the engineering life really for me? I hate how easily some of my fellow classmates can just understand the information so easily, how they can see the result before even finishing the calculations. "Really it's just common sense," they say. Then why tf don't I get it??  I keep telling myself that these classes aren't what I'm really going to do. I just need to get through these core classes before I can get into my specific classes. Are you kidding me? I'm already a 3rd semester sophomore, and I haven't even taken Bio for goodness sake, but I've taken Mechanics of Solids (for civils), Circuits and Systems (for electrical), Into to Prog (for comp eng), and Graphics (for mechies). Seriously, not one class I've taken pertained to my major.. maybe Chem but even that's more for chem eng. Just forget it. I don't mean to complain. Obviously everyone else has to go through this and not just me. I just need to get through these bullshit classes.

Anyways, I wanted to talk about last Saturday. I went snowboarding for the first time  with Ricardo, Kimm, Ralph, Drew, his roommate n his girl. Let's just say I spent more time on my tush than riding the hills . Nevertheless it was a great experience, and I definitely plan on going again. We then went to Friendly's, another first. As we are about to leave Friendly's, it begins to snow--- the first snow of the season! I come home in time for the Pacquiao/De la Hoya fight, and we all know that result . As soon as the fight was over, I plopped onto my bed and knocked out with the quickness.

I've got so much more in mind, but I think over time I'll slowly let it out. Until then, take care.

3 years & 7 months

Happy Anni, Ricardo Rivera, Jr. <3

I can't believe it's been so long! And yet, we're stronger than ever  Other couples have told me that it's right around the 3 year mark where all the lovey doveyness went away for them, but it certainly hasn't in our case. We still hold hands, cuddle, call each other 'baby,' do cute little things for each other.. and most importantly we never forget to mention how much we love one another. Thanks, babe, for always being there for me through thick and thin.

"The very first time that we kissed, I never had a precious moment like this.. You're always on my mind....."

Nebraska trip

HAHA who knew that Nebraska wouldn't be so bad . Maybe it's because I was with the Bolante bunch, or perhaps because I was in the city (Omaha). So the US Olympic Trials for swimming were being held in Omaha as well. To think, I was in the same vicinity as Michael Phelps! Lol but there was no way I was going to be able to see him. My family researched the tickets, and apparently the cheapest price for tickets was $275. Fck that!

On Friday, literally 15 min before my cousin's wedding, I ALMOST witnessed a tornado! I was looking out of my hotel window, and the outside jus went from sunny to super opaque. I can't even explain how fast the winds were going. I think that if I were outside, I literally would've flown away. Well, the aftermath still included broken trees, chairs and tables from backyards turned over; and the hail was so strong that they looked like piles of snow on the ground. Nearly all of Omaha was out of power. And you know what that meant? No power-- for the wedding..... or reception. Could you imagine having a wedding or reception w. no music? Yup, well that's what we went through. And you know what? It totally worked out. During the reception, someone played the piano for the newlyweds' first dance. Another person who for some reason had a guitar also played some songs lol.. and towards the end, I guess someone headed back to the hotel and busted out and iHome so we played DJ ipod LOL. As for the no lights thing, the sun provided until sunset. Good thing they had enough candles to walk around, and I guess you could say it even set the mood.

Well, thank God that everyone was okay, and the wedding/reception was a blast. Things happen for a reason, right? It's definitely a memorable story to tell. It's not everyday that a couple can say, "Yea, we had no power during our wedding and reception.. and what?"

So here's my ending.. Good luck, Alex and Tiff Leonida. I hope that all of your dreams together come true.. and a lifetime of happiness and love. Thanks for a wonderful family get-together and for giving me a reason for ever going to Nebraska hahahaha. i<3you guys!
